Ellen mentioned interesting thing about innocentive and its roots in TRIZ. Also reinforced the fact that Canada leads over US in figuring out IP complications specifically http://www.ideaconnection.com/

trade secrets (don't sue me for this it is a joke) from Infy on criteria for selecting innovation to patent Pinaki stated 6 but gave away only 5. Something is better than nothing 1 Business value, 2 technology merit, 3 design around possibility, 4 competitor analysis and 5 open space possibility. Wonder if there is veto power for any of these criteria, he only mentioned they are weighted.

Interseting contrast from Mary on IP across industries specifically between IT and Pharma where the time to derive value is possibly 6 months and lower while the other has 15 years respectively

Pinaki from Infy made this important point that the challenge in TRIZ is to abstract in and abstract out at will, which I think what Navneet possibly due to his background and training is very good at. Is also a key need for TRIZ facilitators. This is almost like making equivalence without domain knowledge.

Ido applied segmentation and parameter change to TRIZ evangelization within org. Key point here is Segment course over a course of 5 weeks etc; give what people can use in their regular job; Teach Strategy people evolution, design people contradictions and so on.

Point from Ido was when your main job is innovation, you stand the risk of losing the job. Option could be have a regular job and maintain TRIZ as the terrific hobby on the side.
