Dear Harsha,
What is your opinion on the contradiction identified in the article? What is
right or wrong? What would be your contradiction?I am conducting this mail as
to find out the understanding of TRIZ by many consultants http://www.triz-journal.com/archives/2010/01/03/
The nature of my interest is purely in the interest of simplifying techniques to make learning Mathematics both fun and retentive. By retentive I mean that fundamental concepts in fractions, geometry are retained and utlisied to further knowledge and application in say algebra. Students of 8th grade whom I interact with in a public school in the US are unable to recollect these basic principles.
I have been volunteering with this school for over an year and though teachers have tried traditional methods and innovative formats of using analogy, puzzles and story telling the performance of the students is a cause for concern.
Hi Harsha,
thanks for your interest.
Some of our colleagues work with teaching TRIZ in the context of mathematics. For example, Galina Belova is a colleague of Alla Nesterenko who has done quite a few things in Petrozavodsk, in the north-west of Russia. She's also got a few papers written, however they are in Russian and not translated as far as I know (they can be found at www.jlproj.org if you are interested). Yet, these are the papers that describe the approach rather than specific resources you can immediately bring to the classroom.
Can you probably say a few words about the nature of your interest?
How could you participate..?? Wrong question, I guess.. :)
Well, all you need to ask questions, write blogs, connect to others, participate in discussions, share ideas, crticize what you think is not right, and learn from them, enlighten others.. :)
Good to have you hear. Welcome to TRIZ India community. I look forward to your support in educating, entertaining, and enlightening the TRIZ enthusiastic with your vast knowledge in this field.
