TRIZ India

For those who seriously think HOW to innovate

Hello Members,

It is time to think the next stage on our S-curve, and we are glad to inform you our plan to launch TRIZ India Conference in early 2010. We would like to leave the date flexible as of now, but would like to do this in the month of Feb. Many of our members have led, participated, presented, and heard about similar conferences across the globe. But, we would like to do this differently. While we have some ideas already, we certainly wanted to hear from our members as what they think we should do "differently.

Please start posting your thoughts here as what you have found as the best practices in a similar conferences, what have you really liked in a similar conferences, what were the most frustrating things, and what you expected but never met.

Watch this space for more details about the brief outline, call for ___________ , venue etc.

Best,
TRIZ India Team

There is a recent trend to having many talks designated as "keynote." I think this is the opposite of a "best practice"- let's get back to the original meaning, where they keynote speech sets the theme for the conference, and all other speakers can refer to it, and the organizers of each session can use the themes of the keynote speech to tie together the talks in their sessions. At the recent meeting in Harbin, China, I was one of 8 "keynote" speakers, and in Santiago, Chile next month I'll be one of 6. Good news is that there are lots of good things going on at the meetings (see my live blogs in the TRIZ Journal Commentary column).

Dr. Sam Pitroda, Chairman, Knowledge Commission of India, delivered a keynote address on the occasion of UttaraKhand foundation day at ONGC auditorium Deheradun today one hour ago. He has around 100 patents of very high quality and made huge money out of them. He mentioned of setting 14 Innovation Universities. I requested him to make available TRIZ as learn-able invention tools to all over India to make Innovation Universities really effective. He promised me, he will study about TRIZ.

TRIZ India conference should invite him as a key note speaker. I see this is an opportunity to spread TRIZ through knowledge commission, and it is possible to get Govt. of India sponsorship for this conference.
