Announcement - TRIZ INDIA SUMMIT 2010 - Innovation Revolution - 29-30 July 2010 Bangalore
Dear All,
After many informal and formal discussions across the board for many years (more than half a decade to be as precise as I can be :)), we have created the TRIZ INDIA SUMMIT 2010 with the theme of Innovation Revolution.
When we started TRIZ India Forum Blog in 2008 we had a clear mandate of creating an all inclusive TRIZ India - that we can call our own - not only for the nascent TRIZ community in India but also to bring the fringe players on board and explain the value that all of us have seen, realized or are realizing in the way TRIZ has shaped our thinking and work across domains. Later Prakasan helped us to move to Ning platform where the community has developed into what it has today.
So in the year of Innovation 2010 - it is time to start the revolution that we promised ourselves in 2008. We call it the Innovation revolution and TRIZ is the basis for the Innovation Revolution. As we realize, India is the Innovation tipping point for the globe today and it is the window of next 25 years (till year 2035) till we have the demographic dividend of having the highest youngest population in %age and absolute terms.
The TRIZ India Summit 2010 - Innovation Revolution has following confirmed keynote speakers
1. Ellen Domb - I have no doubt in stating that single most important reason why TRIZ has become mainstream in the western world has to Ellen Domb. Her triz-journal was the vehicle that for many years published TRIZ theory, cases experiments, discussions in English language in an open forum that has now become the de facto TRIZ source.
2. Darrell Mann - Well, in India, if not across the world, Darrell is TRIZ. With his remarkable capability to explain complexity is simple terms, Darrell continues to deliver the next in TRIZ or Innovation evolution. Many of us have reaped the benefits of his work from best selling Hands on Systematic Innovation series of books. I could not have conceived of TRIZ India Summit without Darrell. He regularly conducts courses in India - be it at IIT Bombay or open workshops across India. If you have not attended his workshop in India, then either you are new to TRIZ or you definitely have a limited view of TRIZ - you can take my word on that.
3. Isak Bukhman - I met Isak Bukhman in TRIZCON 2007 and then again in TRIZCON 2008 in US. I havent found such a remarkable person - so remarkable, so warm and so passionate about what he does. He was taught by Altshuller himself and now Isak is not only the proponent of classical TRIZ but also has views and expertise on applying TRIZ in variety of fields. I attended his lectures, tutorials and presentations and - well - he makes it extremely enjoyable - the exploration of TRIZ. Isak is currently the Vice President of Altshuller Institute and President of TRIZ Solutions.
We are waiting for confirmation from other TRIZ experts. I will keep you updated on this forum as we get more keynote speakers and other papers. You can also track the progress on Summit Site HERE
We are in the process on bringing the TRIZ Software Vendors and other Innovation software vendors - we already have confirmation from some and we will get the updates as we move towards the summit dates 29-30 July.
Attached is also a call for papers - we request you to submit the abstracts as soon as you can. We really have limited slots for presentations. Your abstracts and papers will be included in the summit proceedings - however, the presentations slots are limited. Kindly follow the instructions below as it will reduce the rework considerably. Please understand the papers, case studies will be reviewed and selected for presentation keeping the theme and sub themes of the Summit.

If the world has to progress further, India has to be at the centre of the innovation revolution. India is going to
create multiple impacts in a decade or so and the Globe will be looking at
Innovation Leadership from India, if it is not already looking at it. The
simple reason why India works is the inherent complexity of India to absorb and
respond to more complexity that the world is creating. India thrives in
complexity and that’s a fantastic situation to be in. However, India also has
problems of being constrained by many ills. The solutions lie in exploring
Innovation systematically. It will only happen through a country wide
initiative to take us to the stage where we define the new world that we want
to inhabit. We believe that Theory of Inventive Problem Solving - the TRIZ or
at least TRIZ Thinking is the vehicle to catapult India into future.

Great initiative Mr. Navneet. 2010 is remarkable for mass level Innovation. TRIZ India has consolidated. MATRIZ certification, initiated by Altschular, is available right now here. Indians don't have to shell a hell of money to be MATRIZ certified. Indian companies waking up towards innovation to face Global competition. Now here TRIZ India 2010 summit. Crafitti Consulting's initiative will blend everything to a huge unified Indian TRIZ force.

Thank you for your kind words.
Our whole focus has been to integrate, include and make TRIZ and TRIZ Type Thinking available to all. Instead of keeping it under layers of complexity and exclusive domain of limited people, we have been proposing and creating integrated frameworks and solutions - as you know, this is not a simple task, in the highly individualized Attention economy that we have.
One thing, however, is clear to us, India has to become the seat of Innovation Revolution and in this journey TRIZ India Summit 2010 is the first step.
We invite all to come and share their Innovation experiences using TRIZ on 29th-30th July.

The Innovation Revolution series that we have started will explore and expand multiple areas techniques methodologies for actualizing Innovation in India - we start with TRIZ India Summit, we will be moving to next summit of Decision Engineering by early next year.
Our aim is to create Innovation Revolution Summits as a means to exchanging ideas, cases, experiments and experiences across industries and across methodologies.
TRIZ being a fantastic methodology, has been chosen to be the theme of first summit in Innovation Revolution series.

It gives me immense pleasure to announce that we have confirmation for the 4th Keynote speaker for the summit in the form of Ido Lapidot Systematic Innovation – TRIZ leader
MCD, Strategic Planning, Intel (MCD stand for: Mobile Computing Devices).

The FIRST TRIZ INDIA SUMMIT 2010
A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE WHO SUPPORTED US IN MAKING THE TRIZ INDIA SUMMIT HAPPEN. As you know, making things requires multiple orders of magnitude more effort than simply using things.
IT WAS A GREAT SUCCESS ON MULTIPLE PARAMETERS.

As we mentioned in our earlier announcement - TRIZ INDIA SUMMIT is an initiative from CRAFITTI (http://www.crafitti.com) to launch what we call Innovation Revolution in India as we believe to the world needs India to define the Innovation landscapes from now on.
In this mission, TRIZ INDIA Summit 2010 is the first small beginning.
